Maruti Suzuki Jan sales up 4.23%

New Delhi, Feb 1 (UNI) Country's largest car manufacturer Maruti Suzuki India Ltd today said its sales has increased 4.23 per cent at 68,107 units in January 2008 from 65,341 units a year earlier.

The company's domestic sales stood at 63,459 units as against 62,248 units a year earlier, up 1.94 per cent, a company statement said.

The exports rose by 50.27 per cent to 4,648 units during January 2007 from 3,093 units during the same period a year ago.

The company's volume in the domestic A2 segment has increased three per cent, while the A3 segment saw a growth of 12 per cent in domestic volumes. In C segment, the sales grew by 17 per cent during the month compared to sales in January 2007.
