Kerala HC dismisses editor's bail plea

Kochi, Feb 1 (UNI) The Kerala High Court today dismissed the bail application of P Govindan Kutty, the editor of 'People's March', a journal propagating the Maoist ideology.

Police arrested Mr Kutty here on December 20 last year, following the arrest of top Maoist leader Mallah Raja Reddy at Angamaly near here.

While dismissing the bail application, Justice R Basant observed that the petitioner was not entitled to bail at this stage, as that would hamper the investigation.

The court, however, directed the police to complete the investigation expeditiously.
