Impose Governor's rule in J
Srinagar, Feb 1 (UNI) Jammu and Kashmir Awami National Conference (ANC), headed by former Chief Minister Ghulam Mohammad Shah has demanded imposition of Governor's rule in the state.
The coalition government has failed on all front and imposition of Governor's rule was the only alternative to save the state, senior ANC leader and chairman of the Intra-Kashmir conference Muzaffar Shah said.
He alleged that Human Rights (HR) violations were still going on without any check.
After presenting a detailed report about HR violation by security forces and police in the Kashmir valley to State Human Rights Commission (SHRC), the party is planning to approach world bodies with the report to seek their intervention, he said.
Mr Shah said the law and order in the state has worsened and State Assembly was turned into a fish market where the budget was passed without the participation of opposition party members.
He criticised the centre for ignoring Jammu and Kashmir while announcing Rs 15,000 crores for the welfare of minorities in other Indian states.
