DC issues notice to CMC Commissioner on arrangements

Madikeri, Feb 1 (UNI) Deputy Commissioner K R Niranjan has issued a notice to City Municipal Council Commissioner D H Raya seeking explanation on the failure in organising Republic Day function properly.

The Commissioner has sought the explanation on the non-availability of sound system during the hoisting of the national flag on January 26.

No proper arrangements for conducting of parade were also made, he said.

The Republic Day function was conducted for name sake, he said.
