CRPF jawan arrested for killing DIG

Hyderabad, Feb 1 (UNI) Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) jawan Hanumantha Raju was arrested by the police in connection with the killing of Additional Deputy Inspector General Syed Sirajuddin Ali Khan.

According to police, jawan was charged under Section 302 and 307 of IPC and would be produced before the court today.

The CRPF official was gunned down by the jawan with his service rifle at Chandrayanagutta camp office here yesterday.

It was suspected that the jawan took the extreme step, as he was not granted leave, despite repeated pleas.
