CM's surprise visit to thermal station

Betul(MP), Feb 1 (UNI) Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan today made a surprise visit to the Satpura thermal power station at Sarni in this district.

Without any prior intimation, the helicopter carrying Mr Chouhan landed at the thermal station premises around 1300 hours, according to power station sources.

District Collector and other officials rushed to the thermal station on hearing about the Chief Minister's surprise visit, official sources said.

The Satpura plant, having installed capacity of 1142.5 megawatt, is considered the biggest thermal station in Madhya Pradesh.
