Call money ends higher at 07.10-07.25 pc

Mumbai, Feb 1 (UNI) Interbank call money rates today ended higher at 07.10-7.25 per cent as against 06.80-06.90 per cent on the previous day, on account of lesser funds in the face of brisk borrowers' demand, dealers said.

Resuming firm at 7.20/7.35 per cent, the rates fluctuated in a narrow range at 6.25 to 7.50 during the session. There was nominal transaction during the last few days.

Reserve bank of India (RBI) has released one day's reverse repo and repo auction at around Rs 10,300 crore each, with interest rate of six per cent. A total of 18 bids were accepted by RBI, brokers said.
