Arrested terror suspects to be presented before Magistrate Tomorrow
Davanagere, Feb 1(UNI) The terror suspects Riyazuddin alias Mohammad Ghouse and Asadulla Abubakar, arrested at Honnali in the district early this month, will be produced again before the Magistrate court tomorrow at the end of the police custody period.
According to police sources, the police officials from the state, Hyderabad, Gujarat and Goa, who interrogated both the suspects with Riyazuddin revealing that he was trained in Pakistan to carry out terror activities in India, and police would be seeking an extension of the police custody of Riyazuddin who is now being interrogated in a police lock up in the town.
The police also expected to seek the permission of the Magistrate to conduct nacro analysis tests of the accused to extract and corroborate more information from the terror suspects.
Meanwhile both Karnataka and Andhra Pradesh police have secured body warrant against Riyazuddin alias Mohammed Ghouse and Asadulla Abubakar. While the Central Crime Branch (CCB) of Bangalore Police want to take the custody of Riyazuddin to interrogate into the LeT attack on IISc premises, in which a Delhi Based Scientist M C Puri was killed, the AP wants him to crack the Mecca Masjid Blasts case in Hyderabad.
Riyazuddin, who had allegedly received training from Pak ultras to conduct disruptive activities, reportedly confessed during interrogation that he did meet the main person who was responsible for the attack on IISc, Bangalore in October 2005 and he had training in using of sophisticated fire arms and bomb making.
The terror suspects, who were arrested by Honnali police were moving around the town in a vehicle which was stolen from Goa and had got painted on the motorcycle the slogan 'Crazy to Kill', had gained the attention of the people before police arrested them.
The duo, before being arrested by the police, had reportedly travelled many other towns and cities in Coastal Karantaka looking for gullible and innocent boys who could be recruited for conducting disruptive activities across the country.
