Ambuja cement net up 32% to Rs 1,769.1 cr

New Delhi, Feb 1 (UNI) Ambuja Cements Ltd today said its net profit increased 32 per cent to Rs 1,769.1 crore for the calendar year ended December 31, 2007 as compared to Rs 1,340.07 crore last year.

Its total income increased 19.19 per cent to Rs 5,898.37 crore for the year ended December 31, 2007 from Rs 4,948.46 crore in the previous calendar year.

The groups consolidated results showed a net profit of Rs 1,846.11 crore for the year ended December 31, 2007 as compared to Rs 1,435.18 crore last year.

Total Income has increased to Rs 6,064.85 crore for the year 2007 from Rs 5,143.12 crore in 2006.
