Undertrial escapes from court in Orissa

Bhubaneshwar, Jan 31: An undertrial prisoner of Umerkote jail in Nabarangpur district escaped from the district and sessions court.

Umerkote Police told to the sources today over phone that Pilsahi Gond, facing trial in a murder case yesterday, escaped from the court premises after giving a slip to the police.

He was in the police custody in connection with a murder case under Raigaraha police station and was being taken to the court for hearing.

Efforts were on to nab him, police said.
