Two Ambala MC employees caught for taking bribe
Chandigarh, Jan 31 (UNI) The Haryana Vigilance Bureau has caught two Ambala Municipal Committee employees red-handed while taking bribe during a raid conducted by it.
A spokesman of the State Vigilance Bureau said that the accused Pratap Singh, EO and Suraj Bhan, Sanitary Inspector of Municipal Committee Ambala Cantt were caught red-handed while taking illegal gratification of Rs 10,000 from Vikas Kumar, local resident, for withdrawing the notice issued against him for the illegal construction of his shop in Anaj Mandi.
A case has been registered against the accused under section 7/8/13 of Prevention of Corruption Act, 1988 at the Bureau Police Station at Ambala.
Further investigation was under progress.
