PMK functionary among four surrender in bomb case
Madurai, Jan 31 (UNI) Four people, including a functionary of Pattali Makkal Katchi (PMK), wanted by the police for running an illegal bomb-making unit in Madurai, surrendered before the Judicial Magistrate (JM) Court here this evening.
The PMK functionary M Ilanchezhian, who was running an illegal bomb-making unit in his farm-house at Avaniyapuram in this district, and three of his relatives Selvam, Mariyappan and Irulappan surrendered before the JM VI Rajendra Kannan.
The Magistrate released them on bail and asked them to report at Perungudi police station daily.
It may be recalled that police raided the unit and seized explosive substances on January 18.
The Madurai bench of the Madras High Court had granted anticipatory bail to all the accused a few days ago.
