No Valentine day celebrations this year too,warnes Dukhtaran-e-Milat
Srinagar, Jan 31 (UNI) Warning that this year too they will not allow Valentine Day celebrations in the Valley on February 14, the Dukhtaran-e-Millat (DM) has appealed to shopkeepers not to sell gift and other items being exchanged by people on this day.
''This year also we have decided to launch a campaign against celebrating Valentine Day, which is un-Islamic and immoral act,'' Chief of the Dukhtaran-e-Milat Asiya Andrabi said.
She appealed to shopkeepers not to purchase gifts items for sale on this Day.
She also asked restaurant owners to refrain from making arrangements for customers who want to celebrate the day.
''We are issuing this appeal in advance to save the shopkeepers from any loss as complained by them in the past,'' she said adding that no excuse will be accepted from shopkeepers now who will sell the gift items.
The Dukhtaran-e-Milat were raiding shopkeepers selling gift items for the day in the past in the Valley, particularly in the civil lines area.
