NCP criticises Munde for seeking Modi's help to win in Mah
Mumbai, Jan 31 (UNI) Nationalist Congress Party (NCP) today accused BJP National General Secretary Gopinath Munde of attempting to play politial gimmicks in the state with the help of Gujarat Chief Minister Narendra Modi.
Lashing out at the BJP leader for relentlessly targetting Union Agriculture Minister Sharad Pawar and Maharashtra Home Minister R R Patil, NCP spokesman Madan Bafna said even Mr Munde worked as Home Minister and critics can give a huge list of his failures, and added that the BJP leader had crossed all limits of decency while attacking Mr Patil.
Mr Bafna stated that Mr Pawar was in the process of finalising policies to ease the debt burden on the farmers. ''The opponents will be silenced once these measures are announced and will lose face in front of the voters,'' he added.
With the announcement that the constituencies carved out of the new delimitation exercise will come into existence for the 2009 Assembly polls, Mr Bafna charged that the BJP was taking the urban voters for granted because there is an increase in the urban constituencies.
''Just because they were successful in other states, they want to win Maharashtra at any cost. To do this, they are indulging in spreading misinformation about Mr Pawar and Mr Patil,'' he said.
