Karunakaran urges party workers to work in unison

Kochi, Jan 31 (UNI) Veteran politician K Karunakaran today urged the Congress cadres to work in unison to defeat political rivals.

Briefly speaking to reporters after visiting the venue of tomorrow's meeting, 'Aikya Mahasamelanam' here, he said ''my return to the Congress will definitely strenghten the party-led Opposition United Democratic Front (UDF) in the State.'' On those who were keeping away from the party, Mr Karunakaran said ''it is difficult for them to ignore the party.'' He said thousands of people would attend tomorrow's meeting, for which scores of party workers were working with great zeal and enthusiasm.

AICC General Secretary Mohsina Kidwai, Union Minister Vayalar Ravi, Leader of the Opposition in the Kerala Assembly Oomen Chandy, KPCC President Ramesh Chennithala and other State leaders would attend the meeting.
