HVPN Sub Stations,staff to be transferred to UHBVN and DHBVN

Chandigarh, Jan 31 (UNI) Haryana Chief Minister Bhupinder Singh Hooda today decided to transfer all 66 KV Sub Stations of Haryana Vidyut Prasaran Nigam (HVPN) to the two power distribution companies namely Uttar Haryana Bijli Vitran Nigam (UHBVN) and Dakshin Haryana Bijli Vitran Nigam (DHBVN).

The move has been taken in order to ensure efficient power supply to the consumers and effective implementation of power regulatory measures for equal distribution of power, Haryana Power Minister, Randeep Singh Surjewala said here today.

The staff posted at these stations would also be transferred to these companies, he said.

He said that Haryana Government had taken a number of steps to improve the availability of the power and a number of projects were in the pipeline which would generate additional 5000 MW of power in the State by 2010.
