Haryana disburses Rs 12.45 crore under Rajiv Bima Yojna
Chandigarh, Jan 31 (UNI) The Haryana Government has disbursed a sum of Rs 12.45 crore to the beneficiaries of Rajiv Gandhi Parivar Bima Yojna to provide compensation in case of accidental death of State domicile in the age group of 18-60 years.
Haryana Social Justice and Empowerment Minister, Kartar Devi said that Government was providing a sum of Rs one lakh as compensation in case of permanent total disablement.
She said that in case of partial permanent disablement a sum of Rs 25,000 and Rs 50,000 were being given. A provision of Rs 25 crore has been made under the Rajiv Gandhi Parivar Bima Yojna, she added.
Mrs Kartar Devi said that Haryana Government has also implemented a new scheme to provide allowances at the rate of Rs 300 per month to Dwarf and a provision of Rs 34 lakh has been made in the current year budget.
She said that under the National Social Assistance Programme a sum of Rs 32.95 crore had been released by the Government of India to cover 4500 beneficiaries under National Family Benefit Scheme, similarly 1.18 lakh beneficiaries will be covered under National Old Age Pension Scheme.
The Minister said that all the district offices as well as Headquarters of Social Justice and Empowerment Department has been computerised at a cost of Rs 80 lakh under Information Technology Plan of the Department.
During the current financial year a sum of Rs 10 lakh has been earmarked under the Information Technology Plan of the Department and out of these a sum of Rs 1.40 lakh has already been incurred.
