Former minister Chandmal Lunia in MP


Khargone (MP), Jan 31: Former Madhya Pradesh minister and Congress leader Chandmal Lunia died at a private hospital at Indore last night following a brief illness. He was 85.

Mr Lunia, who was a minister in the Shyama Charan Shukla cabinet after his election from Anjad constituency in 1967, is survived by three sons and four daughters. He was cremated on the bank of the Narmada river at Kasrawad yesterday.

MPCC chief Subhash Yadav and Congress MP Arun Yadav have expressed sorrow over Mr Lunia's death.
