Chandraswami allowed to go abroad

New Delhi, Jan 31 : The Delhi High Court today granted permission to controversial guru Chandraswami, charged under more than ten Foreign Exchange Violation Act (FERA) cases, to travel abroad.

A bench of Justice Sanjay Kishan Kaul dismissed Enforcement Directorate's plea that if given permission to go abroad, he may not return back to face trial in the country.

Chandraswami wants to visit United Kingdom, UAE and Mauritius for a month. The court has raised the security amount to Rupees 10 lakh per case.
