CDLU to host Youth Leadership Convention

Chandigarh, Jan 31 (UNI) The Department of Journalism and Mass Communication of Chaudhary Devi Lal University (CDLU), Sirsa will host the Youth Leadership Convention in New Delhi in March.

The convention is being organised to mark the 150th year of India's First War of Independence and the Birth Centenary year of Shaheed Bhagat Singh.

Rohtak MP and Haryana Chief Minister's son Deepender Singh Hooda last evening visited the campus and launched the website of the Youth Leadership Convention (YLC). Mr Hooda, who is also patron of the organising committee of the YLC, opened the online registration process for the convention by registering himself for the same.

Vice Chancellor Dr KC Bhardwaj, Registrar Dr Vazir Nehra and YLC organising secretary Virender Singh Chauhan accompanied the MP.

According to Virender Singh Chauhan, chairperson of the host department and organising secretary of the convention, Young parliamentarians, Haryana legislators under the age of 40 years, state IAS and IPS officers of the same age group as well as young leaders from various walks of life would be invited to participate in the YLC.
