Three surrendered in Dr Rajasekhar attack case released
Hyderabad, Jan 30 (UNI) Three people, who surrendered along with other four in connection with the attack on Telugu Film actor Rajasekhar and his family members, yesterday, were released today after the police found out that they were not involved in the case.
Police said Santhosh, Saleem and Kalyan, who surrendered with four others had no role in the attack on Dr Rajasekhar on January 28, in which the actor and his daughter had received minor injuries.
The murder cases registered against the three were also withdrawn from the records.
Police said these people were not involved in the attack as and they were not seen in the video tapes, which were released to the media by the assailants immediately after the attack.
It may be recalled that the fans of the Telugu film star Chiranjeevi had allegedly attacked Dr Rajasekhar for making 'objectionable' remarks that he would not join Chiranjeev's political party, as he did not have experience in politics in a press conference on January 27.
