TCS subsidiary bags $200 mln BPO contract in UK

New Delhi, Jan 30 (UNI) Diligenta, an arm of Tata Consultancy Services, today said it has won a contract worth 200 million dollars to deliver business process outsourcing (BPO) services to support Sun Life Financial (SLF) operations in the UK.

The services to the Canada-based firm are expected to commence in May 2008.

UK-based Diligenta has been working with SLF as preferred supplier since October 2007, following a competitive tender which came towards the natural end of SLF UK's existing outsourcing agreement.

Diligenta will continue to run the operation in Basingstoke, where SLF UK's Head Office is based.

''Diligenta and TCS will ensure that SLF UK continues to receive market leading standards of customer service,'' said Phiroz Vandrevala, Chairman of Diligenta.
