Spearhead teams for drought relief measures
Lucknow, Jan 30 (UNI) Uttar Pradesh Chief Secretary P K Mishra today constituted spearhead teams' led by senior officials to conduct relief measures properly in the drought-hit districts of the state.
These teams would make on the spot inspection and physical verfication of drought relief works after every fortnight in their allotted districts.
Mr Mishra said these teams would make assessment of relief works, extend suggestions and solve problems by holding discussions with the concerned divisional commissionrs, DMs and CDOs.
Warning that any laxity on the part of the officers or employees in relief works would not be tolerated, he assured paucity of fund would not hamper the relief measures.
The team leader of Jhansi Division spearhead team would be the Divisional Commissioner, Allahabad, P K Jha, while Additional Chief Election Officer, M K Narain would be the member.
Divisional Commissioner, Lucknow V S Pandey would head the Chitrakootdham division team and the Secretary PWD, Deepak Kumar and Commissioner Rural Development M K Singh would be its members.
Similarly, Secretary, Basic Education, R P Singh would be the team leader of Mirzapur division and Director Mid-day meal authority Santosh Yadav would be its member.
