Somani Worsted to set up Rs 1,700 cr SEZ in Bhiwadi

Bhiwadi, Rajasthan, Jan 30 (UNI) Somani Worsted Ltd today said it will develop a IT/ITeS special economic zone (SEZ) 'Silicon City' in a phased manner here with a total investment of Rs 1,700 crore.

''The SEZ will be developed in four phases with a total investment of Rs 1,700 crore. The first phase will be completed by 2010 and will entail an investment of Rs 700 crore,'' company CEO Mahendra Malu told reporters here.

The project will be developed in a joint venture with AEZ Ltd, he added.
