Severe coldwave conditions in Uttarakhand, Haryana and Punjab
Pune, Jan 30 (UNI) Severe cold wave conditions prevailed today in Uttarakhand, Haryana and Punjab.
A cold wave prevailed in Himachal Pradesh, Jammu and Kashmir and north Rajasthan and at isolated places in Kutch.
It was a cold day in Arunachal Pradesh and Sub-Hiamalayan West Bengal and Sikkim. Night temperatures were markedly below normal in north interior Karnataka, appreciably below normal in south Rajasthan and south Konkan and Goa and in some parts of Madhya Pradesh and of south Madhya Maharashtra and below normal in Uttar Pradesh, north Konkan, Vidarbha and coastal Karnataka, some parts of Marathwada and in remaining parts of south MadhyaMaharashtra. They were appreciably above normal in Saurashtra and above normal in south Orissa, north Madhya Maharashtra, coastal Andhra Pradesh, Tamil Nadu and Kerala and in remainig parts of Marathwada. They were normal over the rest of the country.
Rain or snow are likely to occur at a few places in Jammu and Kashmir and at isolated places in Uttarakhand and Himachal Pradesh.
Rain or thundershowers are likely to occur at a few places in Arunachal Pradesh, Assam and Meghalaya and at isolated places in Nagaland, Manipur, Mizoram, Tripura, West Bengal and Sikim, north Orissa, Jharkhand, Bihar, Uttar Pradesh, Madhya Pradesh, north Chattisgarh, coastal Tamil Nadu, Andaman and Nicobar islands. Mainly dry weather will prevail over south Orissa, Haryana, Punjab, Rajasthan, Vidarbha, south Chattisgarh, Gujarat, Konkan and Goa, Madhya Maharashra, Marathwada, Andhra Pradesh, interior Tamil Nadu, Karnataka, Kerala and Lakshadweep.
Rain or snow have occurred at a few places in Jammu and Kashmir and at isolated places in Himachal Pradesh.
Very light rain has occurred at isolated places in Assam and Meghalaya, Gangetic west Bengal, Bihar, east Uttar Pradesh, Madhya Pradesh and Tamil Nadu.
Rain or thundershowers have occurred at a few places in Sub-Himalayan West Bengal aqnd Sikkim and at isolated places in Arunachal Pradesh, Saurashtra and Kutch, Andaman and Nicobar Islands.
Mainly dry weather prevailed over Nagaland, Manipur, Mizoram , Tripura, Orissa, harkhand, west Uttar Pradesh, Uttarakhand, Haryana, Punjab, Rajasthan, Vidarbha, Chattisgarh, Gujarat region, Konkan and Goa, Madhya Maharashtra, Marathwada, Andhra Pradesh, Karnataka, Kerala and Lakshadweep.
