Sarpanches shower praises on Hooda

Chandigarh, Jan 30 (UNI) Sarpanches of about 30 villages of Karnal district in Haryana today called on Chief Minister Bhupinder Singh Hooda to express their willingness in serving the Congress Party with more zeal.

The delegation of the Sarpanches met Mr Hooda here under the leadership of former Vice-Chairman of All India Youth Congress, Sports Cell, Mr Satish Sharma.

They said rapid development of the state had been ensured under the dynamic leadership of Mr Hooda, adding that during a short span of three years, the State had achieved first position with an investment of Rs 78,500 and in terms of per capita, it had also emerged second after Goa.

The Chief Minister assured the delegation that no discrimination would be made while executing the development works in state Assembly Constituencies ensuring all round development.

Dr Bhim Rao Ambedakar Seva Dal of Karnal has decided to honour Mr Hooda on April 14 for implementing a number of welfare schemes for the people as well as the students belonging to Scheduled Caste categories. Recently, an innovative scheme costing Rs 280 crore had been announced by him that would be implemented from next academic session to encourage the students and to check the drop out in the schools for those belonging to Scheduled Castes categories.

The delegation included Sarpanches Kanwar Singh of village Ganger, Tek Singh of village Thakhana, Samsher Singh of Gitapur, Rajbir Singh of Padhana, Virender Kakkar of Bir Narana, Ram Singh of Jamba, Dhan Singh of Jattpura, Balwan Singh of Parwala, Krishan Lal of Dabar Thala, Pala Ram of Mohdi and Dharam Singh of Sitamai.
