Rupee opens low at 39.40/41 against per US dollar

Mumbai, Jan 30 (UNI) Rupee today resumed low at 39.41/42 against per US dollar compared to Rs 39.38 on the previous day's close, as jitters about foreign selling of local shares spurred dealers to spare holdings, with the prospect of RBI intervention against the rupee also weighing on sentiment.

Later it was quoted at a high of 39.38 and a low of 39.44 during the mid-morning session on moderate activity by local dealers.
