Patna-Muzaffarpur Highway to be under annuity mode: Cabinet
New Delhi, Jan 30 (UNI) The 60-km stretch of Patna-Muzaffarpur section of National Highway 19 and 77 in Bihar would be upgraded under the BOT (annuity) mode, instead of the BOT (toll) mode.
The decision was taken at a meeting of the Cabinet Committee on Economic Affairs (CCEA) today as there was no response for the tender notice for the toll mode, (a) Changing the mode of upgradation of 60 km stretch of Patna-Muzaffarpur section of NH-19&NH-77 in Bihar from BOT (Toll) to BOT (Annuity) mode.
Finance Minister P Chidambaram told reporters that NHAI Board had been authorised to take decision with regard to award of work on BOT (Annuity) mode.
The approval would enable the award of project and facilitate implementation of NHDP Phase-III.
