National seminar on media from Feb 1

Varanasi, Jan 30: Media experts from across the country will assemble at the three-day national seminar scheduled to begin at Mahatma Gandhi Kashi Vidya Peeth here from February 1.

The seminar would be organised by the department of Journalism and Mass Communication of the university on the topic ''contemporary society and mass media.'' According to head of the department A K Upadhyay, there would be nine sessions, which would be chaired by different noted media personalities.

''Emerging modern trends of print and electronic media along with a series of other topics would be discussed in detail by the participants,'' he informed.
