Men duped by fraud rice-sellers at railway station
Phagwara, Jan 30 (UNI) Two railway employees here were cheated by two unidentified imposters posing as rice sellers this afternoon.
According to General Railway Police here, these frauds showed a sample of high quality rice to two Railway Employees and convinced them that they were resorting to ''distress sale'' due to some emergency as offered them the rice at a very cheap rate.
The two railway employees purchased four bags of rice, and as soon as the transaction was made, the duo disappeared from the scene.
When the buyers later checked the stuff, they found the bags full of clay.
The GRP here is trying to locate the fraudsters by their description, it has also appealed to the passengers to be extra vigilant.
