Meeting of presiding officers of legislative bodies concludes

Bhopal, Jan 29 (UNI) The meeting of a sub-committee of Vidhan Sabha Speakers of seven states concluded at this world-famous tourist spot today, official sources said.

The meeting was chaired by Lok Sabha Deputy Speaker and Sub-committee's President Charanjeet Singh Atwal.

The meeting discussed issues pertaining to various aspects concerning presiding officers of legislative bodies and obstacles faced in smooth functioning of legislative bodies.

Delhi Vidhan Sabha Speaker Prem Singh, Kerala Vidhan Sabha Speaker K Radhakrishnan, Maharashtra Vidhan Sabha Speaker Krishnarao, Tripura Vidhan Sabha Speaker Ramendra Chandra, Uttarakhand Vidhan Sabha Speaker Harvansh Kapoor, West Bengal Vidhan Sabha Speaker Hashim Abdul Halim and host Madhya Pradesh Vidhan Sabha Speaker Ishwardas Rohani will take part in the meeting.
