Krishna supporters resort to 'Rasta Roko'
Bangalore, Jan 30 (UNI) Supporters of Maharashtra Governor S M Krishna today resorted to a road blockade at Maddur, his home town, in Mandya district in protesting certain personal references to their leader in the autobiography of former Karnataka Minister and senior Congress leader H Vishwanath.
Vehicular traffic on the busy Bangalore-Mysore road came to a standstill for a couple of hours and thousands of vehicles were stranded on either side of the four-lane state highway.
The agitators, protesting against the depiction of their leader's alleged affair with a Kannada actress of yesteryears, raised slogans against Mr Vishwanath, and squatted on the road until police persuaded them to disperse.
