Hyundai's new plant to be operational from Feb 2
Chennai, Jan 30 (UNI) Leading car manufacturer Hyundai Motor India's new plant is all set to become operational from February two here.
Tamil Nadu Chief Minister M Karunanidhi would inaugurate the new plant, which would also be attended by Union Minister for Heavy Industries Sontosh Mohan Dev.
With the commissioning of this plant, Hyundai Motor would produce twice as many cars, taking its capacity to 6,00,000 cars per year, a company release said here today.
Since it began operations at Sriperumbudur near Chennai, Hyundai Motor had set new benchmarks, given Team Hyundai's passion for technology and undeterred commitment to excellence.
Every year Hyundai had rolled out new models and in 2007 it released 'Getz Prime', 'Sonata Embera CRDi', 'Santro CNG' and the very successful 'i10 merge'.
This new plant would carry forward the works and take the company to new heights, the release added.
