CBI inspector arrested for taking bribe
New Delhi, Jan 30 (UNI) The CBI has arrested an inspector posted at the agency's anti-corruption unit in Patna for accepting a bribe.
The inspector, Praveen Kumar, was arrested yesterday while accepting Rs 50,000 as bribe for not registering a case against a branch manager of UCO bank in connection with the grant of certain loans.
The CBI had registered a case on the complaint of the manager.
The agency laid a trap and caught Kumar red-handed.
Raids have been carried out at his office and residence.
