Case Registered against Former OSD to Capt. Amrinder Singh

Ferozepur, Jan 30 (UNI) Ferozepur Sadar Police have registered a case against Major Harminder Singh Bhuller, former OSD to Capt.

Amrinder Singh, former Punjab Chief Minister, his father and four others under section 420/467/462/471 and 120-B.

According to reports, a retired teacher, Swarn Syal, a resident of Ferozepur City, in her complaint to the Inspector General (IG) Zonal, Patiala, had complained that Sukhdev Singh, father of Major Harminder Singh Bhuller, former OSD to former Punjab CM, had deliberately sold off a piece of land to some other party despite taking an advance against the same land from the complainant.

In her report, Swarn Syal alleged that Sukhdev Singh had cheated her as he allegedly sell off half portion of his house, situated at Bansi gate area of the city to some other party after receiving an advance of Rs 2.5 Lakh against the same portion of the house from her.

She alleged that Sukhdev Singh even issued a power of attorney to her after receiving the advance against the property on December 20, 2006, whereas Sukhdev Singh, in connivance with his son Major Harminder singh Bhuller, the then OSD to CM, Punjab and Rajesh Khanna, Numberdar had allegedly sold the same property to Varun Sharma, Tripta Sharma and Gurdas Rai Puri on March 3, 2006.

Acting on the complaint, the IG, Zonal had ordered an inquiry into the matter following which the IG, in his memo number 69/cc dated January 22, had directed the SSP to take legal action against the accused.

When contacted, Dinesh Partap Singh, SSP, Ferozepur, confirmed to have registered a case against Sukhdev Singh Bhuller, Major Harminder Singh Bhuller, former OSD to Punjab CM, Rajesh Khanna, Numberdar, Varun Sharma, Tripta Sharma and Gurdas Rai Puri, under section 420/467/ 462/471 and 120-B IPC.
