The coffee table book was launched by the Flag Foundation of India in association with Natraj Publishers.

The Foundation said the book is designed and structured in a way to appeal to all ages and groups across all the sections of the society. ''It is an attempt to reintroduce Mahatma Gandhi to the mainstream. Sincere effort has been made to provide vignettes into the life of this great man and his profound thinking.'' The book contains the finest pearls of Mahatma Gandhi's wisdom and offers readers a simple and yet profound introduction to his life and words.

Flag Foundation of India, a non-profit body, was formed by Congress leader Naveen Jindal and his wife Shallu in January 2002 after the Member of Parliament won a seven-year-long court battle that enabled all the Indians to display the National Flag with honour and pride at their homes, offices and factories on all days of the year.
