Anglo-French Mill workers observe fast

Puducherry, Jan 30 (UNI) Work in the government-owned Anglo-French textile mills here was affected as the workers affiliated to Puducherry Textile Mill Labour Union observed a fast in front of the ''C'' unit to press their demands.

They were demanding, among other things, an amicable settlment to their demand of payment of wages as per production, opposition to retrenchment of 22 employees who had put in 22 years of service and implementation of the promises given by Chief Minister N Rangasamy on December 28 last year.
