Adequate security arrangements for Simaria bypoll
Chatra, Jan 30 (UNI) Jharkhand Chief Secretary P P Sharma today said adequate para military forces along with state police would be deployed for holding free and fair bypolls to Simaria Assembly seat slated for February four.
Mr Sharma along with state's Director General of Police V D Ram, who was here to review the bypoll preparations, told reporters that arrangement of helicopters would also be made for aerial surveillance of the area.
''About 95 per cent of the polling booths were located in naxal dominated areas. Therefore, security would be enhanced to avoid any untoward incident,'' Mr Sharma stated.
