World Shipping Forum 2008 from Jan 31
Chennai, Jan 29 (UNI) As many as 120 foreign shipping experts would be participating in the 'World Shipping Forum 2008', an international maritime conference, to be held here from January 31.
Organised by the Chennai Branch of Institute of Marine Engineers India, the three-day conference would see presentation of over 40 papers on a wide variety of maritime related topics, Institute of Marine Engineers President K Chidambaram told newspersons here today.
More than 50 per cent of authors would be from abroad, he added.
An exhibition would also run simultaneously for two days.
Mr Chidambaram pointed out that the theme of the conference would be 'Strategy For Future Shipping Challenge', with an aim to showcase indepth knowledge of maritime developments.
