Two students injured in firing over college polls
Sangrur, Jan 29 (UNI) Two students received bullet injuries during a clash between two rival groups over college polls here today.
According to police, the two student groups started arguing over some issues pertaining to the elections in Government Ranbir college.
Soon the quarrel turned violent and one of the groups started firing. Two students identified as Amardeep and Jitender received bullet injuries during the clash.
Both the injured students were rushed to the civil hospital here from where they were referred to DMC, Ludhiana. One of the wounded student was reported to be in serious condition.
Police have registered a case against six of the students.
However, no arrest have been made so far in this connection as all the accused are absconding.
