Two held, fake educational certificates seized
Hyderabad, Jan 29 (UNI) The sleuths of West Zone Task Force today apprehended two people and seized 389 fake educational certificates worth Rs 11,250 and one computer from their possession.
According to a press release here, the police teams raided St Joseph Vocational Junior College at Ramantapur and arrested M Ashok and P Vijay Kumar. The fake certificates were prepared in the name of JRN Rajastan Vidyapeeth University, Udaipur.
In the investigation, the two accused revealed that they were preparing false and fake certificates with the assitance of Vara Prasad, Correspondent of Krishna Veni Educational Academy in collusion with the university staff.
The accused confessed they had sold about hundred certificates and collected Rs 15,000 to Rs 20,000 for each certificate, depending on the course and grade.
The accused were further handed over to the Musheerabad police station.
