SRTC employees are not paid salaries

The
employees
of
the
Jammu
and
Kashmir
State
Road
Transport
Corporation
(SRTC)
have
not
been
paid
their
salaries
for
the
past
four
months.
A deputation of SRTC employees union during their meeting with Manzoor Ahmad Ganai, advisor to Chief Minister Ghulam Nabi Azad, said their wages for the past four months had been withheld. They demanded the immediate release of their dues and transfer of Managing Director of the SRTC.
The other deputation from different parts of the valley alleged that their areas were facing a shortage of water, kerosene oil, gas and electricity.
A deputation from Gujjar Basti, Bandipora in north Kashmir demanded laying of power supply lines, while deputation from Pahalgam demanded essential commodities, including gas, kerosene oil and timber supply to their areas.
The Advisor directed the concerned authorities to look into the matter for speedy redressal of grievances put forth by the deputations, an official spokesman said today.
