RCF employee killed in accident

Mumbai, Jan 29 (UNI) A 34-year-old employee of Rashtriya Chemicals and Fertilisers was killed when the button of a boiler was accidentally switched on at the steam generation plant of the company at Chembur in the eastern suburbs here.

The deceased, Sunil Rane, was doing maintenance work of the boiler when somebody, by mistake, pressed the electric button of the heater killing Rahane on the spot, Investigating Officer R V Sawant said here today.

Police have registered a case of irresponsibility and negligence against the officers of the company and further investigation was on.
