Peace rally on Martyrs Day tomorrow
Mumbai, Jan 29 (UNI) As many as 1,500 NSS volunteers, Gandhian activists, social workers and peace loving citizens will march for the Peace and Communal Harmony Rally tomorrow on Martyrs Day.
The Day is organised jointly by Mumbai Sarvodaya Mandal, NSS units of Mumbai and SNDT University, Gandhi Smarak Nidhi and Hindustani Prachar Sabha to commemorate 60th death anniversary of Mahatma Gandhi.
The peace rally will start from Azad Maidan at 1630 hours and end at Hutatma Chowk, where an all religious prayer will be held. The participants will also take an oath to work for communal harmony and peace.
The volunteers, dressed in traditional costumes of various communities, will carry banners and placards with messages of communal harmony and peace.
