One of the arrested had links with terrorist organisation:Advisor
Gulbarga, Jan 29 (UNI) Advisor to the Karnataka Governor P K H Tharakan today disclosed that one of the arrested in Honalli in Davanagere district of Karnataka recently had links with terrorist out fit.
Addressing a press conference here, he said that preliminary investigation had proved that Riyazuddin alias Mohamed Ghouse had links with a militant outfit.
Lauding the efforts of the Police in nabbing the militants, Mr Tharakan announced that Rs 50,000 reward to the two constables who led the arrest.
Earlier, participating in a Review Meeting, in which top officials of the District were present, he said that he knew the problems of the District and would make efforts to solve it.
He explained that the law and order situation in the state had improved. "In fact the image of Police has improved in the state," he said.
Referring the incident of boy falling into an open borewell, he said the Governor had directed the Deputy Commissioner to take steps to close such open boreweills.
