MRPL hands over Rs one lakh to MESCOM
Mangalore, Jan 29 (UNI) Mangalore Refinery and Petrochemicals Ltd, (MRPL), an ONGC group company, has come forward to help in mitigating the acute drinking water problem at Chelairu Rehabilitation colony by handing over Rs one lakh to Mangalore Electricity Supply Company Ltd (MESCOM).
The MRPL, in a press release here yesterday, said the amount has been given to MESCOM by way of deposit money to instal a 10 kw pump acquired by the villagers for drawing water.
''We are concerned about the welfare of the community, MRPL Managing Director Rajamani said adding the company was also constructing an overhead water tank with a three lakh litre capacity for the benefit of villagers.'' UNI MA ROY 0930
