Morphine worth Rs 24 lakh seized, one held

Barabanki, Jan 29 (UNI) Police here today claimed to have busted a smuggling syndicate with the arrest of a man possessing morphine, estimated at Rs 24 lakh in the international market.

Working on a tip-off, cops nailed down Nasruddin in Masauli area and seized 240 gm psychotropic substance from his possession.

The accused has been sent to jail.
