HC asks CBI to file progress report on SNC Lavalin Case in 3 weeks
Kochi, Jan 29 (UNI) The Kerala High Court today directed the CBI to file a progress report on its investigation into the SNC Lavalin Case within three weeks.
A Divsion Bench comprising Chief Justice H L Dattu and Justice K M Joseph gave this direction while hearing a petition filed by 'Crime' Magazine Editor T P Nanadakumar, seeking a time-bound probe into the deal.
The petitioner had also prayed the High Court monitor the investigtion into the case, involving a multi-crore-rupee contract to SNC Lavalin, a Canadian company, to revamp three power plants in the State, awarded during the previous tenure of the LDF government.
The CBI counsel submitted that the investigation was in progress.
The court directed the report to be filed within three weeks after which the case will be considered once again.
