Gold seized from international passenger

Chennai, Jan 29 (UNI) Airport Custom officials today seized gold worth Rs 15 lakh from a passenger from Malaysia at the Anna International airport here.

Airport sources said the officers intercepted Vellaichamy (43), who arrived from Kuala Lumpur. When they checked his baggage, they found a plastic pouch containing 1.2 kg of gold.

The passenger was handed over to the airport officials for further investigation.
