DHBVN extends date for replacing incandescent bulbs
Chandigarh, Jan 29 (UNI) Keeping in view the encouraging trend of switch over to energy efficient lighting system by the farmers and industrialists and on persistent demand of the consumers, the Dakshin Haryana Bijli Vitran Nigam (DHBVN) has decided to extend the period for replacing all power guzzler incandescent bulbs with energy efficient lighting system from January 31 to February 29.
A spokesman of the Nigam said that as per the feed back received from the field officers, about seventy percent agriculture and industrial consumers have switched over to the use of Compact Florescent lamps, T-5 tubes and other energy efficient lighting system for tubewells and factory lighting during the month of January following instructions issued by DHBVN to replace all traditional yellow bulbs from tubewell rooms and industries.
The remaining consumers would be motivated by the DHBVN officials to switch over to the energy efficient lighting system by February 29.
